Art on the Square

In May of 2023 I was asked to participate in an annual window painting competition. This competition is held in Oskaloosa Iowa. Each year the businesses on the square ask artists to participate in creating a window painting under a certain theme. This years theme was hearts. Therefore, each artist had to hide hearts within their paintings. The business that asked me to paint for them was a hair salon. They allowed me to be creative and paint whatever I came up with. In doing so I had lots of fun. This competition was a great way to get involved with the community as it not only brings many artists together, but also provides some fun and enjoyment in finding these paintings for the people of Oskaloosa. Through a voting process, I ended up being th 2023 winner!
