For this project I was faced with choosing a current issue and creating a book cover, magazine cover, or a poster. I chose to explore the creation process of magazine covers, and chose my current issue to be the way in which college students often spend so much time stressing out, that they miss out on the fun and opportunities that college brings them. In each of my magazine covers, I chose a different target audience. For the first magazine cover, I chose the target audience of first year college students. The transformation from high school into college can be a very stressful time for college students as we have to learn how to adjust to our new environment. For the second magazine cover, I chose the target audience of college students who really focus on their school work and feel the stress from deadlines of their work. Finally for the third cover, I chose the target audience of students who are getting close to graduating. Graduating college students often feel the stress of real life hitting them as they begin their search for their career. The consistent element in my magazine covers is the clock. I wanted this to represent how college students often feel the stress from fast dealines, to the stress of feeling as though you are running out of time. Finally I chose the title to be "VIEWPOINT" because I wanted the magazine to focus on how to get a different perspective when it comes to the time you have in college.
